RON TOEWS
Ron bought shares in Border View Homes as a young man. Several years later, his brother Bernard bought the remaining shares of this RTM business. Together they eventually worked their way out of the building business and became a full time lumber yard. Today Ron is the president of the business and a building consultant.
BERNARD TOEWS
Younger brother to Ron, Bernard hopped on board the business back when they were still building RTMs. He, together with Ron, tackled the switch from building houses to operating a lumber yard. Bernard is the accounts manager as well as the draftsman, helping you turn the house of your dreams into a reality.

the store was not in the plans
Back in 1990 Ron Toews and Bernard Toews were busy with their business, Border View Homes, building Ready To Move homes. Then the local lumberyard closed down, and it didn't take long for the people of the community to start dropping by, wondering if they could buy a few pounds of nails, or maybe some lumber. After offering this service on the sideline for awhile, the brothers made the decision to gradually shift their business to retailing building materials to fill this demand.
The business kept growing as hardware, tools, paint, flooring, plumbing, and electrical were added to the selection. In 2000 we almost tripled our retail area by adding 1,700 square feet to the north. Then in 2011, we removed two of the older, original buildings, while adding a new showroom and more retail space to the north, along with new offices and receiving area to the east, resulting in a total of 6,400 square feet of heated area. The latest improvement happened in 2020 when a new warehouse was built and outfitted with an Auto-Stak system to expedite the handling of all the dimensional lumber we sell.
We are a one-stop-shop for residential building materials, tools, hardware, plumbing, electrical, paint, flooring, and lawn and garden supplies. If we don't stock an item you have requested, we endeavour to locate and promptly order it in for you, with new stock arriving almost daily. We also have a building consultant, Ron Toews, and an in-house draftsman, Bernard Toews, who are here to help with your project, whether putting together a material package for your deck, farm shop or shed, or designing the home of your dreams.
